Land Selection as per Vastu

Hello everyone, I’m Sanjay Gupta, Vastu Consultant – Cosmic Occult Hub.

If you are planning to buy a plot, don’t look at price and location alone. According to Vastu principles, there are a few important factors you should check before making the decision.

First — Plot Shape.

A square or rectangular plot is generally preferred. Avoid highly irregular plots, missing corners, or excessive cuts without a proper Vastu assessment.

Second — Direction and Road Position.

Don’t select a plot simply because it is North-facing or East-facing. The position of the road, entrance, corners, and surrounding roads should also be evaluated.

Third — Slope and Levels.

Check the natural slope of the land. In traditional Vastu principles, the North-East is generally preferred to be lighter and lower, while the South-West is kept relatively higher and heavier.

Fourth — Surroundings.

Look carefully at what is around the plot. T-point roads, sharp road impact, drains, large structures, and other surrounding features can influence the suitability of a plot.

Fifth — Soil and Land Condition.

Check the soil quality, drainage, waterlogging, and overall physical condition of the land. Vastu assessment should complement—not replace—proper technical and legal due diligence.

And most importantly, never judge a plot only by its facing.

A proper assessment should consider the plot shape, directions, road position, slope, surroundings, entrance, and your proposed construction plan together.

My advice is simple:

Before you invest in the building, invest some time in selecting the right land.
